We walked onto Brooklyn Bridge and stopped to look at the Manhattan skyline. This is the photo I wanted to bring home. The bridge is my favorite memory of our first day. We walked through DUMBO and saw Manhattan Bridge framed by the buildings on Washington Street. Another angle on a city full of bridges. We reached Times Square later in the day. The signs and yellow taxis filled the view; this photograph belongs with our first day in the city.

We spent our second day in Central Park and took a photo beside the lake. It felt good to slow down after our walk across the bridge. Still in Central Park, we stopped at Bethesda Terrace. I wanted to keep the stonework as well as the photograph beside the lake. Our last photograph is from inside Grand Central Terminal. We paused in the concourse before leaving, looking up one more time.

Some journeys stay with us.
